We are devastated we were unable to reach our original funding goal on Kickstarter, but we are amazed at how much we have learned throughout this process and the overall support of the community. We wanted to take a moment to let y’all know just how impactful of an experience this has been for us. Blackstone Blocks being our first Kickstarter has taught us so much and we have been changed for the better in so many ways.
Thank you to everybody who contributed in the comments with idea generation for the scatter terrain and feedback on terrain prototypes. Your world-wide voices, insights, and creativity were invaluable to this campaign!
You all have made this abundantly worth it.
We plan on still bringing the system to life–but with a few tweaks…
Because we are a nimble team producing these ourselves, we are still able to begin production just at a smaller scale and slightly higher entry point.
This pre-sale will go on until the end of January so we can utilize as much bulk ordering as we can to keep entry costs low.

To keep packaging and bulk ordering simple, we have now integrated our add-ons into the sets. Eventually, the idea is that these will come back as more ways to purchase your favorite blocks.

- Pre-Orders ARE LIVE: Opportunity to purchase revamped Dominion and Empire Sets (with optional 50% deposit payment plan if needed)
- Pre-Order form will be open until End of January in order to properly order materials.
- We will monitor the pre-orders coming with the first wave of fulfillment slotted to ship starting June of 2026. There will be continual updates as we move along as well. Check out our discord for regular updates.

FAQs
will you eventually relaunch on kickstarter?
Never say never! We see some real opportunities as we grow this system in the future and we have learned so much from this experience to push forward a new campaign in the future. With the holidays coming around, it will probably be a while before we would relaunch again, but that gives us plenty of time to streamline, rebuild, and see what makes sense. If you would like to support us in the meantime, we also have other products on our site that help support us as we get Blackstone Blocks off the ground!
why was your initial funding goal higher?
Our funding goal was primarily to help us scale. We have a small print farm already, but to sell Blackstone Blocks at the prices we wanted to for consumers, we needed to make some larger bulk material purchases and in turn, scale our printers and tools to accommodate such a large order quantity at once, so backers could have their pledges in a timely fashion.
By revamping set sizes and prices we are able to release products sooner, but won’t be as efficient/cost-effective as with the full Kickstarter goal. Because of this slower growth though, that also means we won’t have as large of an initial influx of orders meaning we can scale our print farm and tools more slowly.
What’s the journey & vision?
We have been dreaming, ideating and developing this project for the last 2 years so we have plenty of ideas to move this system forward! From new biomes explored to expanding into new block shapes, we have great visions of what the future of Blackstone Blocks will be.
We launched our Kickstarter in October and were able to raise over 36k from over 200+ backers; however, we were unable to make our full goal for the scale up intended for Kickstarter. Every adventure has to start somewhere, and we are taking what we learned there and evolving this project forward.
